Ya'll should give lessons on how to run restaurants.

I was there on 4 December and was absolutely shocked at the service and the food.

1. I was seated promptly. None of the usual standing around waiting on a clearly available table nonsense.

2. Drinks were served immediately.

3. The waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and made suggestions that were past the usual specials. It's criminal I've forgotten his name.

4. The most amazing thing happened after we ordered: our food arrived in fifteen minutes. I've travelled all around and have sadly come to expect huge waits for food to arrive.

5. The turtle soup was simple the best I've ever had. The catfish with crawfish sauce just melted in my mouth.

The mashed potatoes have a problem, though. They're under advertised. Cheese and other ingredients folded in...I write "other ingredients" because I was too busy eating them to really pay attention. Perfect

Your site says you've been voted best in New Orleans and Metairie. I'd say one of the best in the nation.

You have a very nice restaurant. Fun, relaxing, good view, good food, nice service. My wife and I have eaten at your restaurant the last couple of weeks following her surgery. Next time we are in NO for fun, we will appreciate your charm even more. Thanks for having , for the most part, nice people. People make the difference.

On Tuesday, February 6, 2007 my wife and myself decided to visit your restaurant. When we first arrived we were greeted with a smile and pleasant attitude from your hostess. After being seated, we were again greeted by our waitress, Phyliss, who also had a smile and was pleasant. Phyliss did an outstanding job with everything. I loved the fact that we did not have to ask for refills on our drinks, she would bring new drinks before we finished the ones we were drinking. The food was absolutely wonderful and so was the service. My wife has not been able to stop talking about the food and service since we left. We will be back soon for dinner once again and will be bringing some friends next time. Please make sure that Phyliss is thanked for us.

Dear Lucian, Please accept my sincere thanks for all you did to make our celebration on Friday, Nov 24th so perfect. Everyone, I mean everyone had nothing but praise for the food, for Kim and for the beautiful dining room. I'm not sure if I told you but we were not only celebrating my son's graduation from medical school, but our 40th wedding anniversary and our beautiful daughter's 36th birthday! My father, Lionel Lopez and my Mom eat at your restaurant frequently since they live on Camp and Napoleon and he said that the ribeye steak he had was the very best he ever had at Cannons. I would be happy to give you and Cannon's a superior recommendation if ever asked. Please express our appreciation to your staff....especially Kim who did a fantastic job! New Orleans is the home of great food and great hospitality....I'm proud to call myself a native daughter!

Awesome food!!! I came down to work with a Ministry helping in
Disaster relief and was looking for a nice place to eat. A friend recommended
Cannons and so we went. The Food was extremely good and the service was out
of this world. I am 100% sure When I come back I will be dinning at Cannon's

On Friday, August 26, 2005 we dined at our usual Friday & Saturday night dining spot, Cannon's Restaurant on St. Charles Avenue & Milan Street.  We sat at "our" table ... the Manager had bought a "Reserved" sign and placed it on the table every Fri. & Sat evening unless we phoned to say we would not be in that night.

We also had "our" waiter and I ordered my usual Friday night meal - Catfish Etienne, no sauce, extra lemon; French Fries, crispy, on a separate plate; Cole slaw, on a separate plate & regular butter with the bread -- not the usually served garlic butter.

Saturday we flew to Houston ... Our first meal out after returning to New Orleans was Friday, November 6, Cannon's Restaurant, "our" table, "our" waiter, Catfish Etienne - no sauce, extra lemon; French Fries - crispy, on a separate plate & Cole slaw - separate plate, regular butter with the bread.

It was nice to be home!

Lucien, just a note to let you know how much we LOVED the
rehearsal party we had at Cannons. Every one had such a great time...Dee and
server Kelley were the best!!! Everyone loved the food...I was
depending on Cannons, and everything was better than I had hoped. All
of the Marines loved the party too. I've recommended Cannons to
several friends that will be having parties. Lucien, your expertise has

My Event was held at Cannon's Restaurant on Saturday, June 12, 2004. I just returned from New Orleans today.

Everything was a dream come true! I will be writing the restaurant this week to personally tell them. Everyone who attended had high praise for the location, food and the atmosphere. It was everything I could imagine and hoped it would be.

I want to personally say thank you to your service. It really helps when you are out of town. I have lived out of town since 1973 and your resources were excellent! Thanks to you, I was lead to the best location New Orleans has! Cannon's was excellent!

I love Cannon's. I went to college in New Orleans and it was always a favorite spot. I held my graduation dinner here and when I visit the city, I always make a date at Cannon's. I love the bread and the Pasta Giraud.
